Codeine -> Oxycodone via sodium dichromate + sodium hydrosulfite
I was curious if anyone had experience with this, or any other conversion method. To my eyes, converting Codeine to 14-Hydroxycodeinone using sodium dichromate (https://www.rhodium.ws/chemistry/oxycodone2.html) then to Oxycodone using sodium hydrosulfite ( earchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=all&To=now&Type=&Order=date&Sort=DESC#Post471551") would be quite lucrative...
If one were to do this they would need an easy way to get large amounts of codeine.
Would this method work?
And if so, how would one go about purifying the codeine from AC&C tablets to make it suitable? (removing almost all the caffeine and acetaminophen)
If one could buy 2000, 8mg pills for $100, then make that into a half ounce of oxycodone, and press it into 100 oxy 160...
Any comments on the reaction?
Sorry for my noobishness...
