Default no blue in pseudo

swim is attepmpting the TCE/JD method for his pseudo. swim is following as he should with no substitutions in chems. he got as far as filtering the tce and jd out of the pill mass and letting it dry. he has read that there should be a blueish greyish tint, but it has dryed and there is no blue. he was eyeballing the amounts of chems to use up to this point. was this the problem? what did he use too much or too little of? can he fix the problem if there is one w/o starting over? thankyou.

Maybe you got lucky and nothing was left behind, but I doubt it. Swim's noticed the blue color after the powder is completely dry, not when it was wet, but I guess different stuff would show up at different times. Did you rinse with dry acetone? The only solution I can see was if your pills were very clean, with very few inactives. What were the actives and inactives?

Active

Ephedrine HCL .60mg

triplidine 2.5mg

Inactive

methylcellulose

lactose

magnesium stearate

polyethylene glycol

starch

stearic acid

titanium dioxide

no i haven't made it to the acetone wash yet. once i filtered and i didnt think it looked the way it was supposed to i automatically assumed i messed up and stoppped there. i didn't want to continue if i did something wrong and there was a way to fix it. i guess i'll just continue though. thanks for your feedback, it was much appreciated.

#1) was there a blue tint at all when the seudo was dissolved in D. Alky?

#2) If it was blue in the alky, how long did you let the p-fed dry?

the d. alky hasn't touched the pill mass yet. i stopped the extraction after filtering the brake kleener and the japan dryer off and thought the color wasn't quite right. i'm thinking that maybe i was just expecting more of a blue to it than there was. i'm going to assume that everything is ok and continue. i'll let ya'll know how it turns out.

SWIB tried the TCE/Jd method yesterday. His first crystals after the soak were slightly greyish-blue. After the alcohol pulls, his crystals were greenish-blue... still confident... after the acetone wash the crystals came white... score.

Try working to the end of the procedure... SWIB thinks not all japan dryers may be made equal... The pseudoephedrine pills can be different too...

And, Kirby, if you catch this - Excuse my ignorance in asking about the Eph. I wasn't putting two and two together and just blurted out my retarted Eph question...

Swim dreams of running dry acetone through the pseudo after the TCE/JD, until the blue is gone, because he heard this was the way to go.

wrongway,

carry on with the method you are on course with no worries. the list of actives & inactives you gave tells SWIM that you are doing ok. the blue color comes from the trip 2.5 mg. sometimes its slate blue almost a light grey sometimes its really blue, the color varies. follow the technique thru to the end and you will have some pristene snow white psuedo. SWIM knows this to be fact by the list you provided above. its all good.
