One of the steps in coca processing is to oxidize the coca paste w/ potassium permanganate, just wondering if this whole process could be used in a similar way with ephedrine 2 produce cat.

Uh.. that is could ephedrine be extracted like coke and processed to make methcat hcl in a similar manner to which coke hcl is made? I dunno it may be a stupid ?, but it seems legit to me.

Well I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt that you've never seen the KMnO4 synthesis for methcathinone so I'll spare you the flame and give you kudos for making the intelligent correlation of each needs to be oxidized and if one in fact does indeed get oxidized then by George why not the other?!

"SWIM couldnt do a meth cook cos is staying with his relatives, so he got sum KMnO4 and DH20, mixed 3 grams PFED to 1gram KMnO4; reaction volume approx. 200mls

10 hours in the fridge it smelled good and was clear

in went 100mls of ISO and left to stand for 2 hours

in went 1ml of HCL (swim had no pH tester so he just approximated) and evaporated on low heat

bingo! sum yellowy white crystals, scraped off the plate...

the fucker burnt black on foil, didnt do an a/b nor an acetone clean (couldnt be fucked, it was only a test anyway)

snorted, was pretty good. not like meth, more happy, not as 'serious' and intense like meth can be, this was more of a fuck around high, but not bad given the relative ease of the synth"

alright, next question would b, if coke was extracted from leaf and then reduced like meth(instead of oxidized) what would b the end product? Hell, I don't know if that's even possible. Just thought i'd ask my superiors for the sake of learning. I find this whole extract/redox thing very interesting.
