So, walking through H*me De*ot the other day, Swim recognized a strangely familiar name... Japan Dryer!

JDry seemed to be in a bottle next to products like Turpentine and Naptha (Swim was shopping for Naptha).

So, just for experimentation, Swim might try it... Swim is looking for those who have tried and accomplished the feat... so was wondering:

In the simple (10TCE + JDry liquid) and ground pills, Filter out powder, evaporate with Denatured alcohol, purify with acetone;

1. Definately do not let pill mass soak in (JDry + TCE liquid) for more than 3 min?

2. What is the evaporation of the alcohol doing?

3. The acetone is removing which impurities?

4. Sudafed pills are fine to use as a source of PE, right?

I'm kinda at a lack of understanding on the whole chemical process... but these will help, thanks

The impurities are in the powder that's left behind when you decant the alcohol from it, and the pseudo is in the alcohol which is evaporated to leave pseudo crystals behind. Tatrachloroethylene and perchloroethylene are the same.

When are the impurities that the alcohol left behind removed?

after the alcohol is evapped and the psuedo crystals scraped up they will have a blue/grey dirty dishwater appearance and be chunky to semi powdery. make sure you powder this to as fine a powder as you can get it. SWIM runs it thru a fine sieve strainer thats used in canning jellies. it is all plastic. a picture of this item cam be seen in posts at wetdreams. if you dont have one and are not able to procure one then you must mortar and pestle or razor blade chop it till its powder the consistancy of salt but a bit finer even. after you have accomplished this put the powder in a clean jar and pour dry acetone over it. SWIM usually adds tone tills its 4 inchs or so above the powder in a quart jar or a pint jar if working with 20 boxs (24 count) of pills or less. stir and agitate the powder in the tone for a bit, time is not critical here better to set to long then not long enough but stir it well several times to insure the entire surface of the powder mass is exposed to the tone wash. the powder mass will turn whiter and the tone will take on the ugly blue/grey dirty color. it may appear to not be snow white to your eye but go ahead and pour the entire contents thru a funnel with one coffee filter. squeeze out the filter and open it up on a clean glass plate and let it dry. as it drys it turns whiter and whiter untill its blinding white. if it dont then wash it again repeating the process. SWIM has found that if it dont come clean in one wash its usually cuz the mass wasnt powdered finly enough and the trash was trapped in the chunky pieces because the inside of the chunks are not exposed to the tone. what the tone wash removes is the final traces of tryp, chlor mal, and traces of heavy metals that are left by the japan drier. DO NOT run the psuedo untill it drys back WHITE. remember crap in, crap out.

I am familiar with chemistry and procedures... finally I have the procedure down for this experiment... but I don't know the reaction... thus I am unsure of the product.

I understand the way the process goes and how, why, what, etc... but What does the bloody thing make?

I am getting mixed messages from the "Pixie dust extractions" threads on wetdreams... I've re-read stuff a bunch and can't come to a conclusion wether the JD/TCE method makes Ephedrine or Meth...

tce/japan dryer is for extracting e from the pills...and the e is used in conjunction with other chemicals to make meth
