Safrole from Nutmeg
I have read in Total Synthesis 2 by Strike of the www.the-hive.ws (http://www.the-hive.ws) forum that nutmeg contains a good bit of safrole. My question is what are the other impurities? I would like to extract some safrole but I am having trouble finding any reliable info on the procedure. I have done some searches in the following places. www.totse.com (http://www.totse.com) www.the-hive.ws (http://www.the-hive.ws) & www.google.com (http://www.google.com) If I remember right, there was something about the extraction of safrole on the www.chemhead.org (http://www.chemhead.org) website, but the info and other synths have yet to be moved to www.wetdreams.ws (http://www.wetdreams.ws) Thanks for any help!

Re: Safrole from Nutmeg
http://www.ebay.com/ sells sassafras oil 95% safrole content. Craft stores sell it also.

Re: Safrole from Nutmeg
Never heard of isofrole, if you mean isosafrole that is for a different oxidation rather than the simple wacker that most use.
