i'm on Zoloft, and every time i smoke pot or drink or anything that'll fuck me up.. i get overly messed! Because of this, i will get piss drunk after 3 beer and start puking.... i was just wondering if maybe i should just stop taking the pills?!?!?! Please help me out on this one. because my friends keep calling me a cheap drunk and shit haha!..

As interesting as it is (or isn't) I am able to look ANYWHERE online, and see what (known)prescription drugs will interact with others, and in what ways, but (no big surprise) I can't seem to be able to cross reference "Recreational" drugs with prescription ones. Hmmm. Wonder what the market would be for such a site online? (Not to mention, HOW one would be able to go about it in a laborotory setting, and be accurate...)

As for Zoloft interacting, if you are getting it LEGALLY (You have been prescribed an anti-depressant) then lay low on the other substances. Besides, Aren't you supposed to take that before you go to bed? NOT before you go to the bar my friend.

Read online about anti-depressants, and thier effect on the brain and central nervous system. Then, compare that knowledge with your own KNOWN reactions to whatever substance you wish to "recreationally" partake in, and use your intellect (or better judgement if not that bright) and THINK "Will that affect this?" Chances are, it will.

When you wanna smoke a fatty, lay off the Zoloft for a day or so, then wait a day AFTER the fatty, and return to schedule.

I took a 100mg Zoloft (In the morning, I know) Then, about an hour later, smoked a SMALL (2 hits) bowl of Kind bud, then a few hours later, smoked some crystal. Needless to say, I couldn't tell up from sideways for the rest of the day.

(Just making an example for you to base YOUR reactions on, I suppose)

Punkette......dont stop taking the pills...your on them for a reason. Maybe you should lay off the alcohol or pot for a while.

Antidepressents inhibit the reuptake of certain chemicals in the brain that effect your mood......pot and other recreational drugs do the same type of thing....thats why your so strung out, youve got so much serotonin etc racing around in your brain you dont know which way is up.

Wolffe....stopping zoloft for one day does nothing. It takes at least a week, if not longer, to be out of your system.

Thanks for the info, I was unaware. I took a few Zoloft, purely for the recreational hell of it. Based that info on my own personal observations in myself. The seratonin thing hadn''t even crossed my mind, sorry if I mislead anyone, or spoke out of turn!!
