See if you can find some tri sodium phosphate.Its availabilty outside the US is unknown to me.But its a angle you may want to check.It works great and its almost impossible to over basify with it.Ive also noticed when gettin some red devil it ocasionally turns an eyebrow that swim can do with out.Swim finds his TSP in a local hardware store where the cleaning supplies are.TMG

swims got some tri sodium phosphate at swims house and swim is looking at a meth syth as we speak swim been readong about it for about a year and ready to try first exraction.

Dows swim substitute the Red Devil Dy with the tri sodium phosphate?

what does swim do about Acetone and Colemans fuel ive never heard of COlemans and cant find actone.

Swim knows he got to research more but swim also knows u guys can help swim out quicker.

Tri-Sodium Phosphate

I have been using Tri-Sodium Phosphate lately for basing. Since its ph is 13 it seems to keep the orange from surfacing and at the same time ensures that all the pseudo is based. However, i don't know if it is available otc in the us or not.

I posted not long ago my test results using tsp as base for meth prior to steam distillation. The process went same as it does when using naoh. The only difference was it took alot of TSP to get the meth to base and climb to the top. The ph was exactly 12. I never thought it would work either until SWISD mentioned it recently so i figured I give it a try. It works.



So it seems TSP has its uses... and it is available in both Canada and US. (not sure where SWIJ is)

And here now is TMGs comments that came next -

Hard 13 is what the Ph usualy is when switmg uses It.Switmg used to use it all the time on the old tetra synth(not the one with jap drier)and it worked great against orange gack.The gack layed dormat until your ph started to jump around.The sue dough molecule seems touchy when you have your ph to high so 13 worked great for that.The meth molecule is pretty frickin tough and can handle a pretty high ph.Since 13 is about as high as TSP goes.When pulling meth oil Switmg has had to add some red devil to boost the Ph past 13 to get the rest off the oil out.

ya it looks like a milk carton.Just keep an eye on your yields and make sure you get all your oil out(god Switmg loves oil, meth oil that is).I dont no how big of a batch you usauly dream of so just trust your nose and get some ph strips after awhile you wont need them youll just no how much youll need everytime you dream.Pleasent dreams.
