Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Don't know if any of you out there are having troubles with your finished products lately but if you have it might be your annie. The last two weeks or so everyone's shit has come out with nasty taste and pour yields. Couldn't figure out why. Noticed that all the tanks showed up in the fields at the same time the old pro around here who has figured out how to get by the locks at the co-op still came up the good dope. Realized the only differance was the annie. Sure enough, it has shit in it. Only took a week to figure it out though, but it was a good try. All you have to do is run the annie through a few filters and its as good as new.

-11 below zero F (-23 C)as i type this, with a wicked wind blowing out of the northeast at 30 mph. that makes it 64 below zero F (-53 below C) worked all day in it.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Swims been thunking again. First I dunno about the ratio's, but can/is sodium used in the Birch? Swims read somewhere about this and what he recalls is that a mix of sodium@10%/ Lithium@90% gave the best results. The filter shouldn't be a problem but whats it filtering out? Could the Annie thing be the source of the alternatave refridgeration gas myth? Swim got the impression that the gas was used to seperate the chaff from the goods and it maybe in Annies area it was used (at pressure in a tank)post Birch. Swim knew of shipping containers full of rotting meat 'cos some Russian tapped of the damn gas.

when you say sodium i presume you mean sodium metal,,,and yes it can be used,,using lithium isnt actually a birch...
10% sodium and 90% lithium,,i havent heard that before my sheep loving friend,,but who knows,,it may be true..
i dont understand anything further in your post..
please explain it further

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
SWID dosent know about the Ammonia stuff that farmers use but he does know that NOTHING is added to R717. To do so would make it an azeotrope and alter the cooling Characteristics of the refrigeratn. That means that every piece of equipment using R717 would have to be retrofited to handle the new "blend"

Sorry it took so long to reply but have been really busy. To answear your first question on what it looked like in the filter. To be honest you really couldn't see anything in the filter but a slight light brown residue. The only way to tell it was contaminated was to look at the annie. It looked milky instead of clear. Swim then filtered until clear. It took about a whole package of standard coffee filters. Swim stacked about 10 together and poured annie through filters VERY SLOWLY. Repeated until annie looked clear like normal. Pouring into clean container each time. Hopefully this anwears your question a little better. Sorry about the vague description on the first post.

This is not what we are dealing with, it couldn't be that simple. Iowa State University has been working on an additive to be put in the anhydrous to render it usless for the manufacturing of meth. The first additive tested caused the insides of the tanks to rust, which highly increased the risk of explosion. If the new component being tested now is successful, the anhydrous would still work but it would take alot more than before and the return would be decreased by up to 50%. If this one works they plan to start using it next spring. If anyone knows/hears infomation about this please post it a.s.a.p. because if this works it will be added to all andydrous nation wide and assuming abroad as well.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
I would just about bet my g-friends tight puss that this was due to high humidity, Moisture in the annie and you have to have more lithium, how much? who knows, you would have to take into account the humidity level blah blah and so on, also with RP/I2 in humid atmosheres I notice it often seems to take more gas to drop those little sand sized foil burners and that will give it an acidic taste and other not so pleasurable experiences.
Just my opinion

No it wasn't the humidity. Here in this great state we have learned to battle the elements of nature 24/7/365. There were several batches all done at different times and by different cooks, and they all turns out the same. The only common thread was the annie. Several tanks appeared approx. the same time from a neighboring co-op not our local one. Thanks for your input and that goes for you to Green. We just need to know what that damn additive consists of.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Swim always checks the humidity level before a cook, unfortunatly he learned this the hard way. Won't even attempt it if level is above 75%. As far as getting a drink, swim also tossed that idea around until others had same problems. Annie was attained from other tanks and other areas, with the same results. Still stumped on what it could be, appreciate any info at all.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
additives are being added to thwart meth manucature
in fact there is a treatise on it avialable on the net
try a search on the hive for it as well as remedies
there is also some neat info where they claim certain additives actually increase yields (one of them simple ascorbic acid!)
hvac 717 is ok yet

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Kirby, sorry about the wait. I was wrong about the %90 thing but it did mention about a better yeld with LiBr (?). Its in Rhodium , under Kinetics of Birch reduction.
Marieno and Baarbra say "Hello hows things?"
The refrideration gas.. So what I guess is that it was the Birch method in a pressure vessel but instead of letting the Nh3 out, the fridge gas was piped in,on top of the Nh3, stirred, let to settle out into two layers, then tap the layer you want out. Easy?!. Never done it.
Two other things: why don't they recool the evaporating Nh3 gas back into a liquid and save it in a second tank? And why wouldn't it be possible to iodinate a solvent then add pseudo to it?
Oh and a good way to learn the Nh3 tank tapping would be to make up a adapter that can refill a small butane gas bottle from a 20litre BBQ bottle. Its handy to know 'cause the small 1l camping gas bottles can be obtained cheaply once the 10 yr certification has expired. And filled for fukall too.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
nh3 with fridge gas as a upper layer above the ammonia
what for
how does that help the solvated irons reduce..
and no,,never done it
why dont they capture the evaporating ammonia..
well,,1st,,why dont i do that??
cause im to fuckin lazy and ammonia is $150 for 34 kilos from BOC gas's
i havent given it any thought
nor have i on how to
most who can get ammonia
have unlimited access to it
so why play with something that likes to grab your face and rip it off
why cant they iodinate
theres a new word
cant find it in the dictionary
whats iodinate mean
princess
a couple of questions on chefs work...
he states,,that he often just cleans the coat off the pill,,,then grinds them very fine,,then spoons the powder into the ammonia/lithium..
the resulting meth from this reduction..
whats it like???
taste,
viscosity,
solubilities,
quantity per 1000 pills,
residue left after smoking,
does it crystalize,
quality
look
thank you

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Kirby, To answer ytour questions you asked about the cleaniness of the pills, Well Swim started out birching, until his NH3 source got a stay at the grey bar hotel, but anyway, those red hot 30's, Swim took a bottle of methyl alc threw it in a clear jug and put the red hots in it and swished them back and forth till the red came off, or to a slight pinkish color anyway, then dried and cruched them in a blender, and as you said threw the annie and lithium to it like that, surprisingly enough the dope cracked back great, I meaned harden and fast, I call crack back, and burned on a foil with decent cleaniness, a little brownish film, runs up and down the foil like a fox chasing a rabbit. swim has even crunched them without taking the red carnuba wax from them, thats a little bit rougher and makes the dope burn and orange color, see the magnitude of the reaction, < Swim thinks ya have seen this done enough < the reaction> what the magnitude is. it burns off some of the trash and the actual buffers and binders just hang out in the bottom of the reaction vessel swim let it settle real good pulled the ether from it and cracked the gas to it. But in the mean time before I learned to make annie, swim took up red and black, well once swim got decent at this, I can't go back, neither would you, dood I have gotten a ringer in my ears for almost an hour like coke gives ya when I take my time a throw the magic on it, but Swim goes IV style, oh don't get me wrong, swim still birch's too, but usually do clean pills any more, just out of habit cookin R&B. Swim gets a an adrenilin high just from the annie reduction.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
Hey Kirby.
The other fridge gas thing.
Its not about reduction or solvated Ions.
Swim can't remember where this came from but..
What happens is a pressure vessel is used to do the Birch in, with sodium.
.
First the ammonia is put in the pressure vessel.
Then the sodium, mixed.
Then the pseudo, mixed.
The reaction happens.
The other fridge gas is now put in, with the above mixture.
Shaken.
Let to settle out.
What should happen is that the meth has gone from the ammonia/sodium/pseudo mixture in to the other fridge gas.
The tank is now tapped to let the other fridge gas/meth mixture out.
This is poured into a s/steel pot and the fridge gas left to boil off, leaving only the meth.
The stinky ammonia gas/sodium/shit is still in the pressure vessel, meaning that the horribles can be disposed of somewhere else (into water?)
.
What will have to be found out, is the other fridge gasses type.
It will not be able to be dissolved in ammonia.
It will have to 'like' meth more than the ammonia.
It won't be able to 'pickup' the crap thats in the pseudo tabs.
It probably won't smell.
.
Swim gets the impression that this method will save a lot of cleaning of the source of the pseudo.
Hope this is helpfull. 2e's a kiwi.

Re: Try again boys!!!!!!!!!
i dont know if i agree with you..
the gas added to the birch is to keep a sterile and dry enviroment in the reaction vessel..
nothing about using it as the puller
