tryp

when the underwater paint was in the R&D stage,,,i put in my two cents worth and said,,

as diamonds come out of water dry,,then perhaps they are dry in the water,,if we can get the surface to be painted,, to be dry underwater,,, then the paint will adhere...

well they all threw there rubbers at me and ignored anything further i said..

question is

why do diamonds come out of the water dry

Because of surface tension man. If it is not broken it is without a bond.

You were probably joking, jam, but chances are that is exactly the reason. So, kirby, all you have to do is make the surface so perfectly smooth that nothing can stick to it and you'll be ready to slap on a coat of paint..............but then..............nothing stick................awww! man!

Just forget it!!

i doubt the possibility of bringing a high carbon steel to opaque smoothness in a salt water enviroment..

tryps words of a high carbon content made them stop and think..

we all commented that the hardening of a stick to spear point by burning and then rubbing gets it water proof for an extended period..

high carbon if anhydrous would absorb the paint,,paint aborbed is paint applied

What could it be used for?

Heaps of stuff! It would make a boat so smooth that it would go faster or a car too.

Scratchless sunnys.

Chefs knives.

Sissor edges. etc

Look up.

I gotta friend so tight that if he ate burnt toast he'd shit diamonds.

.

OK,have you seen those meatpies in a bag, all you have to do is put it in the microwave and it absorbs the microwaves and turns them into heat, heats the pie up.

Now if I got some of that as a paint, could I paint my car and not have the microwave radar pick me up for speeding?
