OK…here goes

This is Swigs first go-around. He has been reading and reading and reading for weeks. This in combination with his first hand observations a few years ago led him to believe he was ready to give it a try. So, going on what he had read at the time, he proceeded to gather all the needed materials. He proceeded to process his RP. Everything came out great! He then proceeded with the extract of the Iodine crystals. This too was a success!! He then moved on to the extraction process for precursor. He acquired ether, d-H2O and 30040 mgs of Pseudo HCI. The Pseudo was obtained by purchase of a few different brands of 12 (120mg) & 24 (240mg) hour Sudafed and generic brand. He proceeded to grind the pills into a fine powder. Then, washed the powder with the ether. The first wash he noticed a gooey layer forming. He continued to wash 3 more time. The gooey layer just got larger and larger! He assumed this was the wax and precursor mixing. So, according to what he had read, his next step was to freeze this pile of shit and filter the wax out. This is what he did. Except, it seemed as though the wax was also taking the precursor with it. He decided to throw the whole mess together and do an A/B. This was also a disaster. He ended up with a huge “GLOB” of goop at the bottom of the solvent layer. He saved the whole mess and did some more reading. He then came across a post (saved it from where, hes not sure) that seemed to have a solution. Heat the mess up, still in freebase, Using Toluene as the solvent, and “stir, stir, stir, wait hours?” After this process he could indeed see what appeared to be his Pseudo in a flaky looking layer at the bottom of his Toluene. But it was still not dissolving, and to difficult to separate from the additional layers (first being a very slimy/waxy, below that being the water layer) beneath it. He then read about this “NEW” extraction process (actually 2 in the same post and additional corrections in the responses. A bit confusing to follow.) This post was dated 9/3 or 8/2003 and titled something like… all 3 steps by Wicked_Rain, he believes. Would this process fix Swigs glob of goop? If so, should he drop the Pseudo back to salt before hand? Hes not sure what the hell to do at this point…maybe start over? Swig is sure he has already lost a lot of shit, and doesn’t want to loose any more than he has to.

Any advice to Swig sure would be appreciated. This has become quite the nightmare for his first dream!

You can't do an extraction with just ether and DH2O. At the very least you should study the extractions posted on rhodium.ws

Since the pills you used were probably DMF(dry matrix formulation), you almost guaranteed failure by using DH2O to try and clean them, for some of the crap in the DMFs will swell up just like you said, and bind even tighter to the pseudo. Some of the 120s need to be soaked in dry acetone to get the pseudo outof the plastic skins, and then the real cleaning starts. THe 240s are so gakky that many won't even mess with them. Swim recommends that you consider the Str8 to E method of extraction. If you can't do that, then look at the egull and idea methods, with a few modifications.
