I am pretty new to this and would apprectiate any advice. I am lucky enough to have a steady flow of max brand 60's ( i pull them with heet, makes super clean E). My krispa comes out real clean, smokes clean but it is lacking that taste ,the one that makes the shooters cough. Is it in the ether or the way i am pulling my pills? its difficult to diseminate your question and understand exactly what your doing,,,but ill guess,,,i cant see how the cleaning regime or what solvent you use, could have anything to do with the quality if your getting a good clean unadulterated smoke,,,you speak of taste,,,down here, to have a taste means your using a needle,,and the cough you speak of is only what some get,,others throw up,,i know with heroin you actually do get a taste at the back of the throat for a split second,,,now you say your gear is missing this and you ask why,,,,because we use makeshift labs,,it is very difficult if not impossible to replicate exactly, the same cooking format,every time,,,,as such,,these little differences makes for different quality gear,,which acts differently each time,,,some who use p2p can play with the additives to get the gear to work in different areas,,eg,,a more sexually stimulating meth,,or a longer lasting concentration meth , etc,,,i know of no way we can do this using ammonia/sodium or redphos/iodine,,though it may be possible to do, so if your meth hasnt got what you want, then perhaps try changing your ephedrine source,,,or use different precursors and solvents, if your going red phos, change your cooking times perhaps,,or temp,,if your using ammonia (which is my speciality),,then i dont know anyway to play with the quality of the gear as there isnt much we can change about the birch,,it only works within tight parameters

kirby, thanks for the response but it still did not answer my question. Maybe i didnt explain my self well enough. The taste that i am looking for is a classic taste for this recipe. It is almost a hospital, taste, if you know what i mean. Kinda reminds you of the smell of the shot room at your doctors office when you were a kid. I am thinking it is a ether taste but i am stumpped because i have tried many peoples suggestions. thanks again

Are you speaking of the type of dope that makes "Meth IV users" cough(immediately after injecting)?

If so, then SWIL does have some info on that. I won't post it unless you are actually speaking of that. Get back at me.

try this perhaps,,,when you do your a/b,,use hexane as your A/B solvent,,now just drain off the water, leaving the white layer and the hexane(400mls) in a squeezee bottle,,,now add the hexane and your eph to the ammonia ,,afterwards, gas the hexane the same as normal,,that should alter the taste to what i feel your after

Anyways to answer your question(A re-phrasing of Geez's explanation):

IV users tend to inject Methamphetamine looking for that "rush", which tends to give the misconception that the more pure the Meth, the more of the "rush". Actually, this is exactly the opposite.

Pure methamphetamine will not give the same initial quick "rush" that is often found in samples of meth that also contained unreduced pseudoephedrine.

Most "cooks" do not put the same amount of time and effort into producing fully-converted methamphetamine as those on sites such as these. Therefore, the most readily available product tends to be that which is a mix of unreduced pseudo/methamphetamine.

In short, for the IV user, pure Meth is just boring. For those who use another form of ingestion, the smooth euphoric buzz with long legs(like that obtained from pure meth), is an aquired taste.

Perhaps mixing in a small percent of pure pseudo crystals with the final product will make for some "Tasty IV Dope". Of course this would have to be done with a polar solvent and perhaps a recrystalization, but that's a different thread, and a different day...

That theory came straght from Geezmeister. If you knew who that was, you would probably have nothing but respect for the idea.

Remember that ephedrine/pseudoephedrine is also a CNS stimulant. Within fifteen minutes of ingestion, dilation of pupils can usually be seen. The toxic levels of ephedrine are relatively high, and it wouldn't take a whole lot of IV use to get a strong stimulant effect. However; without it being mixed with Meth, there is usually NO pleasureable effects.
