Someone told me that someone with meth in their system could retain it through their urine. It makes sense? So is it possible? And of course the volitile question, how?

is it possible???,,no its a certainty,,,you intake meth,no matter what way,,,your going to pass it in urine,,,,,,,why is it in the urine??,,,,,pretty basic really,,lets say you are a smoker,,you breathe in meth smoke,,as the blood washes through the lungs,,it picks up the meth molecule and runs it to the brain,,the kidneys and liver being filters,(i would also say splene but i dont have one)then clean it from the blood sending it out of the body via urine,,urine being the major excretor of meth for the human body,,you can sweat a bit out of you(dont try licking the skin of the local meth addict either)

...so how would somebody extract it(meth) from the urine? boil it down or evaporate?

dry the urine to a powder,,,wash it in acetone ,,,methanol wash,,save methanol,,evaporate methanol,,check whats left after evap

Methamphetamine does not maintain its integrity in any kind of extractable, usable form through the human systems.

I'm going strictly on my knowledge of human biological functions here. Methamphetamine, like anything that passes through the body, is subject to enzymatic action.

Drug tests don't detect whole meth molecules, but known products of the breakdown of the meth molecule. This is why certain meth precursors, such as pseudoephedrine and ephedrine, generate false positives. Besides, the amount of "product" detected is measured in nanograms. So there wouldn't be much to extract, even if it were meth.

Dude, don't believe the myths! The meth is in your shit! just take some of your shit, mix it with orange peels, then soak in dry acetone for 2 hours. Filter, then eat shit. It's guaranteed to be fire!

Well, after some more research. I've learned that kirby is right -one could retain 40% of meth in their piss-, although certain fruits like cranberries could thwart hopes for those kind of results. Now what I could not track down, was any more "how to's". So kirby if you could elaborate some more on that earlier method, I'd be much obliged.

Deadly cindy - you wouldn't believe it and I regret saying it but your body barely touches alot of drugs as they pass through your system. I'd say that more than 40% of the meth you ingest is recoverable in the urine. Some studies say that MDMA is 90% recoverable, and some of it was demethylated into MDA.

You could just collect piss(a binge worth), evap into a managable portion bassify and extract 3X20mL, dry and gas.

Gross, don't do this it is just an academic exercise.

Ok, I stand corrected, somewhat.

I just ran that 40% figure by someone who would know better than I (a Stanford MD and lecturer at the med school,) and he says that it's "theoretically possible" but highly unlikely that that amount of crystal methamphetamine would remain intact through the human system. And he does agree it would be a decent academic exercise just to see how much meth is recoverable in urine.

We can talk theories, but practical suggestions are more useful here.

please dont think i know didly squat about meth in urine,,cause i dont,,,i just gave him a cleaning regime that i made up, but theoretically should work,,and if it doesnt then it wont harm it,,,no i dont clean my urine, nor do i save it,,,and furthermore,,id be very hesitant about what else was in the urine that would be extracted along with the meth,,,now if we were talking shit,,yeah guys ,,i save all my shit and reprocess it for use as a curry flavour, yummy
