Default High quality, low yields. What's the deal?

'Sup folks,

Been awhile since swim's been here. Decided to opt for some more hands on training in lieu of tech support. I see gotta and kirby are still loitering in the tips; what's up boys, glad to see you're still educating the newbie masses. I didn't see any posts from wicked rain, hopefully he's still stumbling around Alaska in one piece. Maybe you vets could shed some light on the following situation. Swim has pulled off a few nano's, to varying degrees of sucess, But has generally run into the same problem. Finished product is usually of a fairly high quality - The first batch was extremely heart-banging-off-your-ribs kind of dope, latter batches (longer cooks) have proven to be a mellower, warm-tingly kind of dope, speedy but not to the point where swim can't just chill on the couch, but still makes the wife horny as hell.(unbelievable what meth does to the woman) The problem is, yields are consistently shit. I'm talking like a quarter what they should be. What could be having this detrimental effect on swim's yields? Swim generally cooks a ratio of 1e:1rp:2e, for about 6 hours at around 95 - 100 degrees. Swim than does his a/b, using petrollium distillates as his NP, and titrating with hcl. Swim uses pool ph strips to regulate ph - raises ph to about 14, than drops it to around 6.2,6.5, evaps, and then scrapes up his puny little pile of super-potent meth. Swim then smokes the meth, buzzes out for hours, and wishes he had more dope than he does, and wonders what the fuck he's doing wrong. What the fuck is swim doing wrong?

"Swim generally cooks a ratio of 1e:1rp:2e"

If those ratios are grams (which I assume they are) unless that's pounds....hahahaah Well, your yield is probably pretty close to what it shoud be. Switrd has heard that you should'nt expect more than .7gm for that ratio. How bout you use more of each precursor? That'll do it.

lol yep jib im still around. hasnt been much to post on lately. in your ratios you type this---> 1e:1rp:2e i know this is a typo just trying to figure out exactly what you mean. i assume you mean 1E/1RP/2I2... to much I2 if this is what you mean. if you mean 1I2/1RP/2E then thats to much E. try this ratio once, SWIM hears it works great:

1E/1.2I2/0.7RP cook in oil bath with oil at 190F. cook for 12 hours. try gassing it instead of titeration. and of course make sure your E is super clean and your RP has been thru the wash process as outlined in my earlier thread "here it all is, 3 steps".

to test his RP SWIm will put a small dot of I2 crystals and a small dot of RP on a small plate and mix em up with a toothpick. they should immediatly react. SWIM also takes a small dot of his RP and lights it with a lighter. clean RP burns a bit different then RP with glue and/or paper in it. pick up the residue left behind between two fingers. clean RP will leave very little black sorta crunchy residue. RP with glue and paper and shit will leave a bit more residue and it will have a rubbery slippery feeling. these have been SWIM`s personal observations. oh and btw, you will find that when you are smokin it you will always wish you had more. its the nature of the beast. lol

When you smoke glass, you'll always fiend for more. Smoking ice is the equivalent of smoking crack, very mentally addictive.

Those ratio's seem a lil off, but then it seems you are doing a shorter cook.

How much water do you incorporate per gram of stock?

For a longer reflux the standard ratio Candy uses is 1E / 1.3 I2 / 0.33 RP
