I have heard alot about getting high off of Poppies on erowid and totse, and I was just trying to make sure that these people aren't talking about the poppy seeds that you can buy at the store.

If someone could please explain I will be glad to delete this thread afterwords.

The poppy seeds in the spice rack at the stores are made from pre-backed opium poppy seeds (infertile/steralized seeds). Some brands have a small trace of opium on them. Some people make poppy seeds tea out of a pound of the seeds. Lemon juiced water is usually used to make the tea. The citric acid in the lemon juice helps disolve the minute trace of morphine off of the seeds.

There are quite a few sites that sell fertile opium poppy seeeds too. Do a search for Papaver somniferum.

they grow rather well anywhere in the us.
