Switrd has been thinking bout this new(but not new) chemistry forum. You know C.H.2? well most probably don't know....and lets keep it that way. hahahah Here's my question, to all that are already there....I suggest there be some sort of initiation before getting to go there.(follow me here)

It sounds like a great place to go. In fact Switrd often wonders about it. *daydreaming*

I haven't looked for it yet....really but I was thinking that before word gets out...Ok, I'm rambling here!!

Switrd would like to be invited to join there. (when he's ready of course) I don't want to just stumble across it one day. Ya know?? Switrd has great respect for those who before him troubled over what is now more like, standard issue. It seems like a family kinda deal and he wants to be part of it! But I think that people should have to spend a certain amount of time here on totse before "graduating" if you will....to that new Garden of Eden. Is that dumb??

good words mate,,,ive embarrassed myself a couple of times by asking for the address only to be told they cant give it out,,,explain this place to us,,,who says dont bring in people who have proven credentials,,,why cant a member sponsor another person for entry,,,, who do you ask at ch2 for permission to give out the address,,,and why arent you guys allowing us in ,,,or speaking on our behalf to the hierachy of ch2 and either getting us in, or giving us a reason as to why we are being disallowed entry,,,you know that i have the knowledge and experience to be a welcome member,,as do, so many other people posting on this page,we all have valuable input ,,and we all need to be able to advance,,and being denied this forum is not helping that advance

I should think that would be a good idea, as my theory would be something such as, the more you know the more we know. What I mean is the more you "older and wiser" learn, the more you can be able to help those less fortunate in knowledge, such as myself, that we can later.."graduate" if you will, to a higher plateau, but only when one is truly ready.

IF you were to gain access to CH2 anytime in the near future, I fear that you would be quite disappointed! Not taking anything away from Chemhead[as everyone should know that SWIL is a chemhead for life!!!], but "other sites" have good, reliable information as well. What "other sites" do NOT have, is the family that ChemHead offers that you/we have previously spoken of.

Currently, CH2 is in "start-up" mode. It's running with minimal bandwidth, so don't worry about the invitation thing. SWILways will be given access soon enough, but things have to get a little more squared away first.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time at CH2, but I have found the titles of the forums and a couple of other "user interface" aspects confusing. I'd spend a lot more time there if the setup was more specific on subject matter and maybe a little more streamlined for user friendliness. But hey...I'm not complaining, you can satisfy some of the people some of the time...and so forth and so on.

the forums are set up entirely by subject matter but they are names of the forums can be confusing. i will be changing that and makeing it more user friendly shortly

or something like that, lost it now.

I checked it out a few times & it was definately chemhead but the site was always down for some reason (forgot why).

That was like over 6 months ago (i think)

I guess they moved that why it now CH2.

agreed... if people cant surf thru the forums and figure out what each one relates to then i feel sorry for them. its pretty simple really and a novel approach at that, quite refreshing

The forums were giving proper "Coding" for a reason(just like the new http address). It's not hard to understand the logic; as you all know, in this game paranoia doesn't only run skin deep!
