I did it this way.

Take a beaker. Put any amount of clean pseudo in it. Pour in three% hydrogen peroxide. Use a wee bit more than it takes to dissolve it. Cover it and put it in a dark place for forty five minutes. After 45 minutes, remove the covering and add isopropanol 99%. Add as much isopropanol as peroxide. Put it on LOW heat until it has all, or mostly, evaporated.

Now recrystalize it with your preferred method. Easy.

how the hell would that make anything besides clean eph???

theoretically the peroxide would oxidize the ephy. I am skeptical about the OTC peroxide being strong enough though.

I know h2o2 is an oxidizer but i would think its not strong enough by itself aswell i mean i would think bleach is stronger and yet i feel it still wouldn't be strong enough. But on the otherhand swim has nothing to lose buy going to buy a few boxes of pseduo and clean them up real good then drop em in some h2o2 for 45 mins then add acohol then boil it off to see how it burns on the foil...........Swim is going to be surprised if it even melts let alone gets any kinda rush or leg off the eph!!!

let me recap what i did. i was attempting to boil down my pseudo-hcl/water, but got impatient. anyways, i took the hot mix and poured in some 30% h2o2. IMMEDIATELY, it started reacting. it turned a deep, dark green, as described in the knmo4 synth. i cant fuckin believe something this simple worked!

anyways, i gotta extract and test it, and i am very anxious to see the results. hopefully this worked!

Just finished extraction following original instructions exactly. It looks great and there was an instant and noticable rxn when the h2o2 was added. Will post again after testing.

OK, just requesting a little clarification... in the original post, Poopeen says use 3% H2O2, but in subsequent posts there are several references to 30% H2O2... so, just to make it crystal clear for SWIM, which is it 3% or 30%. Thanks-- EM

Not the answer to the question, smell the pseudo in the h2o2 it smells so good. I dont have thirty% peroxide. I would dilute it, or not. Use three%.

okay, last nights experimentation went terribly wrong, and i know exactly what i did.

i balanced out the equations stoichiometrically by the molar weight of pseudoephedrine and hydrogen peroxide at school today. when i figured it out, i almost shit myself- i used almost 100 times the amount of H2O2 than the reaction needed!

anyways, heres the ratio for anyone who wants to try it: 1 gram pseudo(freebase) to 11.05 ml 3% h2o2. may sound a little fucked up, but if you dont believe me balance it out yourself. -i did this for freebase pseudo, you can tweak it for pseudo-hcl if you need to.

yes,,,go buy methylated spirits from the hardware,,brand name is "diggers" and only get the 95%,,dry it before use,,,be carefull buying methanol, as some is sold with a oil additive that is only detectable by evaporation

Its so simple. Why these questions? No drop of bleach. Evaporate a bowl of bleach. There would be a bowl with a bunch of crystals. Would want bleach crystals in anything you ingest? And i think oxidised isapropanol is acetone. I dont know what methanol is though.

This made by far the best cat I have ever had. Better than KMNO4 cat. What a rush. I used white powder pseudo from an a/b extraction and followed the original directions. If you are iffy about trying this cause you dont want to waste the pseudo, give it a try. I did a room temperature dry with a fan, no heat whatsoever. I have had low heat ruin cat too many times. Thats just me though.
