Freon in the mix?
I read somewhere that Freon can be used instead of anhydrous ammonia in the making of meth, and cannot find that page again. I'm hoping someone on here can help me with this and maybe give me an overview of how that works. I want as much information as I can get before I start making anything. THX!

CA...As far as Swirh knows (tho not his forte) freon cannot be used... The thread you requested is probably still up... you just got to use the search engine to look for it... Try using "freon" as a search term...
This is not going to benefit you in giving you directions on how to actually do this but perhaps will give you more of an understanding why it will not work... Peace...

freon CANNOT be used in the place of anhydrous ammonia. freon is not used in any synth for meth. that is a myth and the reason you prolly cant find it again is cuz its total bullshit and the page was removed.
believe it...or not.

Re: Freon in the mix?
The only refrigerant that can be used in making meth is R 717, which is ammonia.

Re: Freon in the mix?
I've heard of the R 717 from a friend who has been making this stuff for awhile. Where is the best place to find this?

Re: Freon in the mix?
If you know someone in the air conditioning/
refrigeration business would be the best place to start. Used mainly in cold generators or larger refrigeration systems as a refrigerant. Be careful!!
