I2 crystals
Swim was wondering if its possible to just put h2o2 in iodine to make crystals without hcl if so plz tell if not could someone explain what the hcl does for the i2 crystals

Yes it is possible. You use HCl when you use bleach.

Since he's asking about the same thing,
what could one use to do the same with:
1 pint 7%i
2 pint peroxide
1 gallon hcl(4 oz??)
1 gallon dh20
In other words what could one use to substitue 1 pint of peroxide?

swim dreamed and it looked very nice, 2% tin-1-0z bottles, make a gram of io-cry. couple bottles tin, 3 times peroxide,dab of dh20, dab of muratic, little time and bam useable clean cry io.... nothing hard bout it.

I think Tryp meant that one uses HCl when one uses bleach to Xtract I2 from tincture.
