flares vs matches help
2 questions please....
have access to lots of road flares have heard that rp can be gotten from them, do you use the black striker part or the grey stuff? do you have to do an acetone wash like the matches?
2nd question will mek peroxide do the same as mek?

What? Nobody has said anything yet? I wanted to wait for someone else to answer because I don't know enough. Here's what I do know--
If you have FREE access to lots of road flares, then hell yeah! Get em!
The striker part in the cap is where it is. It doesn't look black though. It's reddish brown in the road flares. Wait for someone to confirm this before you fill the back of your pickup. Each one has about 1/10th of a gram. So, about a thousand of them would be good. (I think it's 0.10, wait on that one too) It's cleaner than mbrp, but of course clean it well just the same.
The MEKP does not have the same characteristics as MEK, so it's not used the same. I don't know exactly the difference.
The above tells you absolutely nothing. That's why I hesitated to answer.
It gave you a bump, though.
