Hi guys , I was wondering if anyone could tell me exactly what the HCI is in the iodine extraction? So far my friend has recieved 0 yeild of anything !

Jo Buy you a few bottles of iodine make sure it does not have providone in it. Then buy you one thirty-two ounce bottle of h2o2 that is peroxide. Pour the iodine into the peroxide and let sit for a couple of hours maybe three or four. Then filter out all the crystals and keep them. You do this by using a cloth like pantyhose or something. Dry the crystals then let the left over sit till the nextday and you will obtain another batch of i2 crystals hope that helps you out =)

HCl stands for hydrochloric acid. I guess it's actually called hydrogen chloride, but it's known as hydrochloric acid.

Make sure you get the tincher 7% iodine not that 1% bull shit but don't go get the stonger 10% either. For every bottle on iodine add two bottles of peroxide mix inbig glass pickel jar with lid then add 1/2 cup or so of muratic. Stirr and let sit for 1/2 hour you will start to see crystal formation on the glass as well as a nice layer on the bottom of container. Filter into sheet and ring the shit out of it use wood and a bench vise it has to be dry

..and keep it in an airtight container, out of the light.
