RP -> WP?
in SwiL's latest RP extraction, he tried to use a higher heat to evaporate out the iso. the RP turned almost solid white...
is this white phosporus? and can he get change it back to red phosporus?
if so, how?

Re: RP -> WP?
White phosphorus, I believe, ignites on contact with oxygen.

Re: RP -> WP?
White phosphorus is a colorless, white, or yellow waxy solid with a garlic-like odor. which burns easily and is used in chemical manufacturing and smoke munitions. Exposure to white phosphorus may cause burns and irritation, liver, kidney, heart, lung, or bone damage, and death. White phosphorus reacts rapidly with oxygen, easily catching fire at temperatures 10 to 15 degrees above room temperature.
It is also used by industry to produce phosphoric acid and other chemicals for use in fertilizers, food additives, and clean-ing
compounds. Small amounts of white phosphorus were used in the past in pesticides and fireworks.

Re: RP -> WP?
in otherwords lord quit burning your rp up dumbass lol......Nowhere does it state to heat up rp all you do is extract it then wash it several times then let dry nothing more then add your i2 crystals that you have obtained from letting h202 sit in iodine untill crystals form then you filter then and let dry...then you man fuck this wicked has a post he took alot of his time to make it explaining step by step. Swim has learned people here will help you but the 1st step is to help yourself and one can do that by reading and quit asking so many dumbass ?'s. One learns by reading and watching others not by asking stupid ?'s over and over man all that will do is make people ignore you're post =)

Re: RP -> WP?
i thought my question was pretty good on the grounds that i was wondering if white phosporus can be converted to red phosphorus

Re: RP -> WP?
WP can be converted to RP, but you'd probably need a complicated lab setup, as the method involves heating the WP in an inert atmosphere for an extended period of time. Tryp explained it on one of my posts.

Re: RP -> WP?
You have either evaporated off your solvent and left a residue of some type of impurity on your rp or you oxidized it into phosphorus pentoxide. Useful as it is you probably would rather have red p.
