so, how does one go aboout getting the RP of the strikers form matches?

i put some into some acetone, but it doesnt seem like its seperating from then paper backing.. any ideas?

methyl alcohol or brake parts cleaner may work, maybe even try straight water, but, course itll take longer,

carborator cleaner.

burner you cut the striking pads off with scissors then you soak them in acetone...or rubbing acohol and im sure denat would work aswell then you either collect your rp or you evap your liquid then scrape your rp.After you do all that wash it again several times to make sure its clean goodluck =)

ive had the pads in there for 2 days and nothing has come off

Then you must have the wrong kind. You didn't use strike-anywhere matches, did you?

no, no i didnt, but i dont recall reading anything about using SA striker pads, i thought they were all the same.....

is there a diff in the striking pads?

Stir the stuff up, and the RP will probably come off of the paper. If not, then you may have to rub it off. Maybe you didn't use enough 'tone?

after adding striking pads to acetone leave for 10 min then shake shake shake the fuck out of it, if this doesnt work then go take em back and get the propper ones

Use a few nuts and bolts in a jar with acetone and shake a little works good not to hard will shatter glass. kinda like a rock tumbler!
