I have been distilling meoh up till the past. I needed to make some weed oil. I saw methyl hydrate so i bought it. I had no mind so i thought id use methyl rather than iso. I soaked a heap of weed in the meoh overnight, strain and evap. The problem- a glob of the oil on ash in my pipe, it burned as if it had gunpowder in it. After toke the shit would ignite as would a heap of gunpowder. it had a layer of CRYSTAL on top. i smoked a chunk, same thing. I have never seen CRYSTAL in oil. So i ask, does Recochem methyl hydrate 99.9% have contaminant of sorts in it? The crystal is tiny 1 millimeter pins in a layer on top. umm thanks.
