Okay please help once more fellas. Okay its safer here to buy minithins. They are 25 mg ephidrine and 200mg guafinesin. I can get the guafinesin out and clean it up but what does one do about the povidone they have now added. The povidone will screw up the reaction I believe is there an extraction to get rid of the crap. Thanks much for any replies.

If povidone is the brown sticky shit, then it won't really mess up the reaction, but it will make for a challenging, but not impossible, post reaction workup. Maybe it affects the yield. If it does, it couldn't be too much. I've heard stories of reactions that don't have the brown giving about the same yield as those that do.

You say that you have a method of removing guafinesin. I am very interested in this. If possible, please elaborate.

I have not done this myself so Im not sure it works. This info was found with the search engine. Anyway PIKK says that pet ether will clean it, not for sure so you may wanna check. I have seen conflicting info on starter fluid ether and how to properly obtain so I will be getting some lab grade ether through work and give htis a try. I will post back when I can give you some definite info on this.
