IS there an list of optical isomers or salts of optical isomers that are soluble/insoluble in acetone?

Some dissolves in acetone some doesn't problem Im having .

The salt of methamphetamine is barely soluble in acetone. Especially when cold and anhydrous. Many of the impurities in meth are soluble in acetone so this is a good way to clean it. Note that the acetone must be perfectly dry or you waste product.

The isomers are both equaly soluble so you can't separate them by dissolving and recrystallisation. And the freebase is very soluble in acetone.

Would iodo-methamphetamine be soluable or insoluable in acetone?

And what impurities specifically can you recognize as being soluable in acetone.

What would iodo-methamphetamine be called, as far as isomer/salts is concerned.

Iodo meth would be slightly more soluble in acetone as a salt, it's freebase would be very soluble.

Meth freebase is very soluble in ethyl-acetate (there is no such thing as ethyl acetone)

If I disolved C10H15N*SO4 in D-H20 and mixed in some Ba, would this liberate the alkaloid and precipitate BaSO4, and C10H15N?

O.S.: Yes this would work provided that the reaction of the barium with the water wasn't too violent. But yes you would liberate freebase and Barium sulphate. Why anyone would do this is beyond me.

Yeah I aggree, Total waste of time and Ba. I dont even know why I asked. Just poped up in my Brian when reading this thread. But you got me curious, is there a more suitabble slv for this kind of thing? Might coaxing the hydrogen dioxide with change in T or P? Would this make the High Valence Alky, and Alky Earth Z's less reactive? What about Ca, might this be more suitable reactant?

Ok so it does exsist but it is poor practice to call methyl-ethyl-ketone(MEK) ethyl-acetone.
