Add NP before Base !?!
Hi,
I read on several post that NP can be to add before the base on a mixture of RXN
the output is it better in this case or it is to better add the base has the solution and NP after ?

Re: Add NP before Base !?!
What are you extracting with NP and a base?

Re: Add NP before Base !?!
Did you cook some meth already and are trying to do an A/b?

Re: Add NP before Base !?!
It doesn't matter. Both will work equally.
SWIL prefers to add the NP first, then basify. He likes to watch the streamers of air moving through the aqueous layer to the non-polar layer. When the streamers stop, and the pH of the lower layer has reached 14, there is nothing left to pull.
As stated previously though, it doesn't matter if you basify then add NP, or vice-versa. Both can work equally the same given the same measure of skill and technique.

Re: Add NP before Base !?!
Ok thank you all
yes i have find in the old site "warlock" this text :
Variation- as to when to add the nonpolar solution is a common point of contention, you want a nice debate, this will get you into the middle of a fanatical argument. Generally it is a good idea to add the non-polar before adding the base, the non-polar attracts the free amine (free base) E and M and helps them move more rapidly out of the polar solution..

Re: Add NP before Base !?!
Atome,
India?...Damn...
N/P 1st...
You should always do a couple of pre-basing N/P washes. The N/P will attract impurities and contaminants like a magnet, while your meth stays safely behind. Ideally, you should continue with N/P washes until you no longer draw color from the RXN fluid into the N/P, leaving a much cleaner interface for the meth to migrate to the N/P when you do basify. Discard the "dirty" N/P.
You can skip this step and leave all that shit in your honey...but why the fuck would you want to do that?
Another profound reason to put the N/P on first (espeacially if your asking this question, is that the N/P provides a "cusion" or "safety net" against over-basifying. Lye (even in 20% Dh20 solution) can easily shock the "naked" RXN fluid.
That's my opinion...but...aren't those facts?
