Re: pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg
The Boots 60mg's are just the same as the blue Sudafed non-drowsy, just cheeper.
Here in the UK, we're lucky that our pseudo has less crap in it that in the US, ie no povidone.
We're also lucky with our paracetamol(acteominophen) and codeine tablets (also available in the 'Boots Own' range) come with no caffiene in them.
As for extraction, I've always favoured: http://www.rhodium.ws/chemistry/pseudo.xtract.waterless.html
You can get the red coating off by shaking in a seive with lots of crushed ice shale. Maybe possibly (don't quote me, as I just thought of it), a little gravel as an abraisive.

(Sorry my spelling is so awful, I'm trying to watch 'Red Dragon' at the same time)

Re: pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg
when you say a 12 hour soak i presume you mean in mineral turpentine as the first washing,,and yes id do it,,its seems an un binder more than it disolves much,,but ive noticed, that without it, unbinding and uncleaving at a molecular level when future washes occur seems retarded,,you get a nice result,, but for one more wash you can do a lot better

Re: pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 60 mg
Kirby, Ive been doing some resarch on MCC,
(hydroxyl cellulose chains) and ive found out
(no surprise) that the MCC is dissolved by
acetone, or an organic solvent. also degradation occurs of cellulose chains with
acidity and oxidation. As cellulose is a non-burning(flaming) compound upon high heating have you ever tried a heated hydrogen peroxide pull on any pMasses with MCC in them?
