Hey folks, I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever used Muriatic acid in place of an Hcl generaton, in an anni lab? if anyo one can help out that's cool.

i ran an anni lab for many years,,,and have never used muriatic acid so can not help you there,,,i use to combine sulphuric and hydrochloric to get the gas needed---others would do sulphuric on iodized salt---ive heard others do sulphuric on aluminium foil--but its always been recognized sulphuric on salt or hydrochloric is the easiest--but i spose its like blondes and redheads--its personal preference

oh yeah--they cover the muriatic method in the chemistry section of rhodium under a couple of redphos/iodine recipes--but from memory they drip it in or something similar

muriatic and HCL are the same thing...

I was prety sure gas or liquid, it didn't matter, but figured I better find out.

And SALMANILLA, I been reading a lota posts latley, ya know, reading? It's a skill used to communicate efictivley, And if you could you would see I was asking if it could be used in place of gas, not if they were the same!
