Im a newb so I know these questions are kinda stupid already but here it goes... I just got a new distillation unit and a QP of salvia. Do I just use some water or can I use alcohol or acetone in my glass distillation unit? Also would I just dry the extract out on a pyrex?

When extracting salvinorin A from salvia, it is best to use a combination of alcohol and naptha. First extract with alky, then let it settle and dry in the tallest, thinnest vessel that can be found. Once the extract settles and dries, their should be 2 layers. The top, consisting of a dark black waxy-like substance, the bottom is the bright green semi-pure salvinorin A. Naptha can then be used to wash the wax away while not disturbing the salvinorin. Then re-extract with ISO and recrystalize.

Any product that is obtained will be extremely potent, and should be handled with caution. First time users of salvia, should probably not use this strength of extract.
