a few opinions if you will--finally caught up with friends who were using ephedrine hydrochloride for the first time(theyd only ever used the sudafed 60mg psuedoephedrine)--the eph came out of 90mg pills (phenone and lactose being the only gaak to clean)with the eph content being 30mg--cleaned exceptionally well but displayed a few different solubility rates---friends have only ever smoked psuedo so were interested to taste real eph---hardly any taste and a different high---can i have some input as to what everyone considers best,,,,do you like straight ephedrine or do you think psuedo is better

If the synth is done correctly, there is no difference between meth made from psuedo and meth from straight ephedrine.

Ephedrine has a chiral centre around the beta-carbon. Basically with a hydrogen on one side and a hydroxyl group on the other.

When creating meth, this hydroxyl group is reduced to a hydrogen, thus eliminating the centre. There is however, another centre around the alpha-carbon which is not changed during the synth.

The alpha-carbon methyl group chirality of the meth will be the same as that of the pseudo or standard ephedrine you use.

In essence, the chiral centre described by the term 'pseudo' is irrevelent to the production of meth from ephedrine.

why isn't pure ephedrine used by anyone, like primatine tablets? that stuff at least when taken orally is way better than psuedo, so wouldn't it better to use? maybe it's more expensive : /

fuck knows---it would appear that all OTC tablets have psuedo in them--so thats what the lads use--if they had straight eph in them id sure theyd use it
