Re: Has Anyone Maid A Allihn Condenser
i cant see why you cant make one--but its easier to buy one,,,, a maid lives downstairs and roots everyone--and made is a constructive act

Re: Has Anyone Maid A Allihn Condenser
Smart ass hey yes i realized.
umm if i were to make this condenser it would have to be made from heat proof glass would it not. this is for my RP/I2/PSEUDO reaction.

Re: Has Anyone Maid A Allihn Condenser
You can see how to make a liebig condenser on the rhodium site, so maybe you can get an idea of how to start from that.

Re: Has Anyone Maid A Allihn Condenser
oh my lord.well those are very complex.
but i have asked before are these able to be made from two glass bottles conected.
i dont have a vacum source and i definitly dont have creativity to biuild some thing quite like that. but the has to be another way to do my
RP/I2/PSEUDO isnt there. worst comes to worst
ill have have to fork out some doe on it.

i'm new to posting. usually just lurk and learn!!! try this for a condenser....works great for those 1-3 hour reactions. and yes it can be done whithout a doubt.
ok take a lantern chimney, you can buy them at wally world or lowdowns cost a buck or two. glass is made to whith stand heat. take clear vinyl hose oaka aquarium hose wrap the chimney from top to about 1/2 to 2/3 way down. set a cooler jug whatever above your vessle, fill with ice and water. conect the upper end of the hose that is on the lantern chimney then conect the lower end to a hose that runs to an empty container the rate of water that flows can be controled by eathier crimping the hose or you can get fancy and spend another buck and get a valve wow. or you can hook it up to a spickett via waterbed kit and those hose ends that are shaped like a cone. i just use my imagination and those sleepless nights i've tried them all. i haven't actually went to my room to go to sleep in about 3 years no joke.... i just shut down for a few if u know what i mean I'M HARDCORE my whole body is tingling now whewwww wha a hitttt!!!
