Where did it go wrong?
My damn pet monkey fired up a batch the other day using red p. After he completed the job he noticed that the chili was kinda gummy so he left it out to dry. Well its still kinda gummy and hes confused as to how to fix the promblem. Any tips to help him out? Also when its smoked, it kinda cracks and pops when its first burned down. I think he just over gassed it but why does it do that?

Re: Where did it go wrong?
They are sticky, greasy, gummy crystals. If you just look at them they look like they are dried out but when you feel them you can tell they are gummy.

Re: Where did it go wrong?
What do you mean "soak" them in DH2O? They will dissolve. If the crystals are greasy from one of the denaturants found in the pseudo pills, then make sure they are cleaner next time and this time wash what you got in a lot of acetone. If it is from the residual glue in the mbrp, then do the same thing.
I think popping and cracking is from salt formed from the reaction between hcl and residual lye in the solution.

Re: Where did it go wrong?
grease doesn't evaporate after its dissolved but, it sounds like gennerally good product
with just too much trash in it, to solve this problem, take your gummy crystals,
put them inta a glass(clear)bowl, or plate,
pour a little acetone in with them and crush
the crystals with a spoon or something while they are saoking in acetone, once the crystals are totally dissolved or dissolved as much as they will just sit in a non-disturbed area for about 3 hours, acetone will evaporate leaving somewhat cleaner product, this is not flashing by the way, you want your crystals to drown in the acetone.

Re: Where did it go wrong?
SWIM tried the acetone trick twice but turned back gummy after a while. So SWIM thinks it just to hot and humid right now. Also SWIM thinks he messed up when gassing it causing it to be unstable. Any thoughts?
