Solubility of Psuedo HCL (Sleepy, Kirby, Gotta)
Can one list what solvent will attain psuedo? Cold, dry acetone will not solve it? But alcohol will? And is freebase more soluable in certain non-polars than others? Is there a good site for me to research?

Re: Solubility of Psuedo HCL (Sleepy, Kirby, Gotta)
i presume your asking what solvents psuedo is soluble in??,,any of your alcohols is fine(methanol, isopropyl, diethyl, etc),,,i use hexane as the A/B solvent and then put hexane and psuedo into the ammonia,,,some use toluene,,,some use a 50/50 ratio of toluene and diethyl,,,,and rhodium has a whole solvents section you can peruse

Re: Solubility of Psuedo HCL (Sleepy, Kirby, Gotta)
It is very important to understand the idea of polarity in order to extract anything. HCl and it's salts tend to be polar soluble, meaning that it can be dissolved into a polar environment. Water is the most common polar solvent, widely abundant and has many uses. "Freebase" tends to be soluble in a Non-polar environment. Following this logic, one can start to see how many things can be seperated by adjusting the power of hydrogen(pH). The pH of the Non-polar environment never changes, and should never be checked.
These are some things to start thinking about, they should help get SWIM going.
