hi. if one was to buy raw ephedrine. how would one test to see if it is ephedrine and the purity of it thanks

get a gram and mix it with 30mls of methanol on a glass plate--evaporate off the methanol--you should see pin wheel crystals form--hold plate to sun and visually inspect it for impurities--thats a basic way but a good way

well say someone could buy ephedrine.. how would he/she know if it was the real deal.. or say the ephedrine was cut with some other agent. just wondering how one would distinguish between the ephedrine and the bunk stuff

weigh out a gram---clean with 100mls of acetone--filter and re weigh---see how much yourve lost
