Im curious what makes something actually melt down for instance meth??? is it the molecule being turned from a freebase to a salt by applying hcl or gassin? another thing lets say i got some dxm already purified if i dropped it in some hcl and evaporated it after applying sulfuric would it melt on the foil? all answers would be appreciated on the subject....i know how to make dope i jus don't know why it does what it does.............bascially can u take almost any substance and make it melt on the foil by either gassin or applying other chemicals and if sooo what or the steps thanks =)

melting as in the melting of meth HCl crystals when smoking is not a chemicals change. The melted Meth is still the HCl salt. It is purely a phase change.

However lots of organic molecules are heast sensitive and can't melt as they break down from the heat before they melt. Even meth HCl will break down while being vaporized and smoked to some degree.

tryp is it true then if i extract some dxm from the hydrobromide then drop the dxm in the hcl shake it for a few mins then evaporate ill have dxm hcl?.......i don't really understand how that would change the quality of the molecule but i have extracted dxm from tussin recently and threw away the hydrobromide and the shit was killa badass but i was told that is the freebase form and if i added hcl to it then it would turn from a freebase to a salt =) thanks
