Swim has some 7% Iodine Tincture, 7% Iodine/ 80%(99%) Isopyrol Alcohol / 13% Water. swim is going to make some crystals out of this pint of tincture. the peroxide called for is the typical Hydrogen Peroxide that comes in abottle similiar to the Tincure? just making sure.

also, about xylol(xylene), swim found a farm equipment thinner, on the can it says Contains Xylol, it gives no percentages. how would swo, go about finding out if its 100% xylene for the straight to E.

contains xylene---dont even go there--it contains unknown additives--any one of which may interfere with the extraction--even if you can clean it--its still thumb in bum theory wether you have it all--get it 100% or keep trying until you do---goodluck

yes thats the tincture you want to use. usually if your label says "contains xylol" then its not straight xylene. its thinner with xylene in it.

thanks, time to hit up a hardware store in a bigger town. Swims got a nice grocery list.
