Straight to E (extraction solution)
In the recipe it asks for xylene and MEK(which i assume is methyl ethyl ketone, correct me if im wrong). From checking my local hardware store, i have found a brush cleaner containing xylene, mek and other petrolium distilates. Would this work for the cleaning of the pseudo, or do i need straight xylene and mek, if so, where and how do i find this.
Also, VM&P Naptha, would that be under automotive solvents, or with the paint thinners, etc...

Re: Straight to E (extraction solution)
GREETIN'S FELLOW DREAMERS!
"SWIV" the answer is in the original scribes
"NO SUBSTITUTES" the zylene should'nt be of mixed variety. SWIDOMI dreams of the big dep*t or paint store where all can be found in the paint& supply area .
ZYLO or ZYLOX are two names that come to mind,V&P NAMPTHA will say just that on the label{varnish & paint}and you are correct, MEK is MEK! Located on the same self along with D-NATURED, ACETONE, TOULENE, and a variety of others that may be required for later dreams.
A word of caution: if your newb or haven't had a lot of chemistry education this can be an "ASS-PUCKERING" extraction, please exerise care and be sure of your dream before attempting this!
{READ MY POST UNDER "A SOBERING DOSE!"}
Hope this helps,don't mean to lecture but "SWIDOMI" still hasn't shit, anal retention flashbacks! {lololololo!!!}
KEEP ON DREAMIN'
RAPTOR

Re: Straight to E (extraction solution)
i must agree with mr raptor,these recipes must be followed to the letter--once you have a couple of years under your belt you can add or subtract solvents and techniques in regard to the different ingredients in the individual pills or availability of solvents and chemicals--till then--stick with what has been proven to work--i must concur with mr raptor again that the extraction method yourve chosen is not the easiest one available--perhaps if you try an easier method (which will still supply you with a high grade product)to start with,and then move on to the more difficult ones----whenever you buy solvents or chemicals you must read the label and make sure it reads 100%--if it doesnt then be hesitant--find the manufacturers information and read what the other ingredients are---or just keep looking for that elusive 100%label--chemistry is very unforgiving of errors,and one mistake can ruin what you hope to achieve---goodluck

Re: Straight to E (extraction solution)
This new method is quite particular about its chemical combinations. Isopropyl alcohol and VM&P Naptha are a must. No other alcohol will render the desired affect. Xylene is like the other side of an oreo cookie. Naptha pulls one way and xylene pulls the other, taking away the gakks so that the pseudo can simply hang right in the middle.
VM&P is in the paint dept in hardware stores in the US. Xylene is thinner for those kick ass epoxy and resin coatings you see on fiberglass speed boats. A bit harder to find, but in most big US cities.
Your best bet will always be to go to larger cities, populations of 150,000 or more.
Other countries. You just have to be more ingenious and use the internet. It has EVERYTHING.
You gotta couple of responses while I was writing. These guys are right, you gotta be very careful and stay on top of things, but Str8 2 E is the easiest Swigotta has ever done. Most importantly, no other method can come close to the yields. He went from 45-60% (max. I guess he must suck) to 60-70%, and now upwards of 85% good clean pseudo. Clean enough to give reaction yields of 60-70%. For absolute sure, the temp never has to go near 105C. It may take a lot longer to crash out, but 85-90C is perfectly acceptable.
