Help SWIM out with this question!
Help, SWIM is kinda in a bind. After going to fetch some Tincture SWIM was told that it is outlawed now. ALL SWIM could find that to replace it was a bottled labeled "Strong Iodine 5%". Will this work to make SWIMs crystals? SWIM is planning on attempting tonight and I need to know really bad.

Re: Help SWIM out with this question!
ive previously read of different ways to make it--there are many posts on here on how to do what you request--flick through the page looking for posts that mention it in the heading or use the totse search engine--your name conjures up memories of a huge case going through the courts right now involving someones uncle bill who decided his little daughters looked nice in bed--bet ya the fucker gets a year inside before parole whilst its guaranteed the next meth cook who goes before the courts(no matter that he is a loving father and husband) will get 5 to 8 before parole--for reasons that are self explanatory i gave up trying to understand sentencing laws years ago

Re: Help SWIM out with this question!
SWIM searched and came up with nothing mentioning 5%. SWIM is tried and geting frustrated so SWIM will just try it out and see. SWIM has heard of 2% working so this should work too. Hey ever heard of 9% hospital grade iodine. Heard you don't even have to make the crysatls. Well of to work.

Re: Help SWIM out with this question!
Can't see why 5% would not be a spectacular success, even if it was a relative failure.
SwiM, who is a mere noob, is managing 0.8g per 30ml bottle of 2%, most he's tried is 150ml in one go. One day he hopes to get about 1g per bottle, but he's happy for now.
Give it a go dude, stick a litre of tap water & a litre of d-h2o in the freezer for an hour(in seperate bottles). while it's there, do the 'making I2' bit, let it sit for 4-5 hours in the fridge.
When rinsing, rinse with tap water first, then with d-h20 (saves spending out on more d-h20).
Probably not the best method, but that don't matter, the point is- 5% seems fine.

Re: Help SWIM out with this question!
Povidone is for human iodine solutions,
like betadine and stuff you would use in a hospital, it relaeses iodine when needed.
of course your 7% doesnt have povidone
unless you own a wild black bear who the fu** is gonna pput povidone in a 7% solution
A 7% solution doesnt need povidone to treat humans. in fact if you were ever to see a 7%
solution with povidone in it let me know
so the Better business burue will know someone is practicing unsafe medicine.
only 1 and 2% solutions for humans contain povidone(small animals too) 7% is for bovine and equines dumbfart.

well excuse the hell out of me smartfart i was under the impression that the pov was added to hinder the extraction of the crystals. damn i wish i was smart as you. oh well thats the price of workin with only one brain cell i spose. anyways since you kno so much, does the 5% have povidone in it? yes or no? is the 5% for human use or animal?

Re: Help SWIM out with this question!
it depends on where you live and how old a store you are buying from, I guess 5% could have povidone in it but not in the damn pharmacy. as far as I know 5% and 7% are for
animals and 1% gentle also. guess it depends on how much of a hillbilly you are and
povidone simply acts as a containment molecule of iodine, once a molecule of iodine reacts with enzymes or protons in a germ it ruptures the germs cell wall killing it, then the next molecule of iodine is ready to react with another germ, basically is povidone, povidone also is added to iodine to defeat iodines staining ability,
take a 2% iodine solution without povidone and pour it on your hand, it stains,
take a 2% iodine solution with povidone in it and pour it on your hand, it washes away with water, (because the iodine is surrounded by povidone!!!!) yay!!!
povidone does hinder an extraction of crystalled I2 because of the nature of povidone itself, but povidone was not added just to hinder an I2 extraction . yay!!!

providing information about making illegal substances is in itself a crime. thats why everything is kept theoretical and is dreamed about. SWIM means, someone who isnt me and if for example you were to see me say SWIWR thats someone who isnt wickedrain. you would be SWIS, someone who isnt sithie etc. it prolly dont mean much in a court of law but it has to be better than just saying "i made a pound of meth" lol for example "SWIM made a pound of meth" leaves room for denial at least. remember this is a public forum.
