jars
Swim wants to know what the best jars are for cooking. Also, are any jars that can handle 105 celsius? He is going to try to find pyrex tomorrow but in case he doesn't.

Re: jars
hi shadoe--im presuming you have access to what we do down here--farmers wives use to preserve fruits and jams in heavy walled heat proof glass jars--my wife reminds me the name is "fowlers vacola preserving kit" for bottling fruit and vegetables---these glass jars come in multi sizes from 500 ml to 2 litres--you buy it as a kit and well worth the effort--theyve never broken on me and ive taken them from freezer to hot water--good luck

Re: jars
I've heard that visionware cookware is better than pyrex.

Re: jars
we dont have visionware down here---the reason pyrex is so popular is its see through and heat proof---if visionware has those properties then run with it
