its for pills with 200mg guaifenesin and 25mg of ephedrine.

first the pills are finely ground in a blender. next pour pill mass in a jar and pour 1ml toluene for every pill used stir it for a half hour then filter and spread pm out a let dry. now put dry pm mass in a jar and add 1gm of lye to every 25 pills stir and slowly add isopropyl alky or d-natured keep stirring (add just enough to make a moderately runny paste) stir for half hour. now add 25-30ml for camper fuel for every 50 pills used. stir for half hour then filter through 2 coffee filters put pm back into a jar and add same amount of fuel again stir half hour and filter combine all the fuel and gass! siwl thinks it like the a/b for psuedo but this is for ephy.

yeah thatl give a low grade clean---heat the toluene to 105c whilst stirring--then filter--repeat toluene wash and carry on--

Ive been wanting to try an a/b on those type of pills... too little time... Im also inexperienced at a/b extractions. what kinda yeild is expected? seems like it would work. smoking off pill powder seems kick ass.

I would like to know if it's worth the time.

is that lye ratio correct?

so how bout this way - say you had ephy tabs with no other nasties is a simple grinding of tablets, addition of MeOh and let it sit for awhile and then filter the Meoh from the pill mass and repeat a few more times until you put all the pulls together for an evaporation followed by xylene washs until clean adequate?

my question is how much ephy is left behind in the Pill mass and how can you ensure you have gotten it all. Have a feeling that recent attempts are leaving abit behind - can you do an A/B once you have gotten the majority of the ephy out to ensure maximium yield?

any help appreciated to save and reduce loss of the precious white stuff

3 meoh washes is plenty--you will have a bit left in the base but further washes will gain no more than partial of a gram---you could a/b the mass i spose--see what comes out--youd only have to do it once to see if it was worth it--ive found the minute percentage that doesnt come out is at the molecular level because it hasnt uncleaved
