Default Curbs nano on a gas hob?

SwiM was wondering if , once the rxn is sealed & ready to go, if it would be safe to use a gas hob instead of an electric one?

The reason he asks is that his electric plate is a bit of a dinosaur & costs a fucking fortune to run!

Until he gets a more modern hotplate, can the rxn itself be heated over a gas hob?

Thanks.

No. Please never use open flames when speaking of chemistry.

And please clarify your funny british slang. Hob? (I understand, a bit)

What do you mean your hotplate is expensive to run? How many watts? And what is the cost of power there? By the kilowatt hour, megawatt hour?

Excuse the stupid Q, SwiM was drunk at the time!

That's his story & he's sticking to it!

A hob is one of the four heating thingys on a cooker.
