SWIM was just curious if there would possibly be a way to take 5-MeO-DMT and syth it to DMT. 5-MeO-DMT just has an a addition of a 5-methoxy. Would it be possible to get the group to drop off and become regular N,N-Dimethyltryptamine instead of 5-Methoxy-N,N-Dimethyltryptamine. SWIM was just curious.

5-MeO-DMT is like 10x stronger than DMT.

Why would one want to reduce it down. It would be too damb hard anyway. Hypotheticaly, one could apply the same oxidation method used to make thebane into dihydromorphone, and then reduce it down with catalytic hydrogenation. However, why bother. It would be much easier, and cheaper, to extract DMT from an organic plant source. Go to erowid's DMT vault.

Thank you for the reply. SWIM was just wondering if it was possible. The reason SWIM would want to reduce 5-MeO-DMT to regulat N-N-DMT is because SWIM doesnt like the effects of 5-MeO-DMT but does like the effects of DMT.
