I got this off of rhodium however I don't exactly understand what to do. The first sentence seems to be unclear to me. eg...add epsom salt to the toul, then add to the psue or add epsom to the psue then pour toul over them both??? Bake the epsom 1st??? The way its worded seems awkward and unreliable. If any1 can clarify this please reply. Thanks

This is the Step where I'm stuck.........

Now pour Toluene, about double your psuedo volume (dry/anhydrous, use your epsom salt) over your powdered psuedo, and heat till just before boiling with your fan blowing over it! Boil for 5 mins and then filter. Repeat this with fresh toluene until when you boil toluene it stays clear! To be sure of toluene doing its job, after filtering, add water to toluene before discarding and you'll see the shit come out!

Sounds pretty straight forward there...says pouring dry(which has been dried with epsoms--which needs to be dried) toul which is twice the volume of the of the pseudo volume. Research and maybe reading something many many times would help. Swirh realizes that some things are not clear cut--like "You can never have too much water in a nuclear reactor". This problem however does not seem to be such a case. Swirh would suggest more reading and more research...

what your being asked to do is use dry toluene to wash you eph--take a kilo of epsom salts and bake in oven at 250c in a baking dish for 2 hours--crumble the dry epsom to knuckle size pieces--and put about a handfull in your toluene container and swirl it about--leave the toluene for an hour--filter out the epsom--you now have dry toluene---now you can use it to wash your eph---good luck
