OK guys...Swirh is gettin' tired of these very strange encounters...But...one of Swirh's friends had asked for help with some 60's that are sworn by in Swirh's neck of the woods. Let's see if Swirh's feeble memory can recall the Ingreds...

Famed notoriety is given to these around here for just using a basic alky extract and micro-ing for some nice looking PE. But Swirh's friend decided to utilize the STE for these and the yield suffered tree-mendously. Swirh's friend performed an 8 box STE on some cheap OTC following that behaved beautifully. The first STE tho...those little suckers are in ISHO cost ineffective (least using an STE on em).

Don't know if anyone else has seen/used/tried STE with this type...But Swirh's friend learned the hard way (well--minor waste of time/energy/money) which all feel hard to him--but it could have been much worse). Swirh's friends dropped back with the old school alky extract with the remaining bulk and had the same old ending that was as good or "gooder" than any STE.

Why is Swirh posting this??? Well, to try to save someone who might be entertaining the idea of trying an STE on these...and trying to establish a knowledge base one could draw from. Swirh has "screwed the pooch" numerous times and prob will AT LEAST once more (none if he has anything to say about it) but such is the nature... Learn from the mistakes...The STE is still getting buzzed about...and still has some minor glitches in some instances...

Damn...rambling again...anyhow...Swirh would preciate hearing anything (especially setbacks) about the STE's. Would save Swirh any hardship that could come up. Now, Swirh performs STE regularily with predicatable results...had another couple of post about some troublesome 120's and a botched up wet solvent of some 60 OTC. Otherwise...everything is fine with most any of the rest...

Hehe...Swirh needs to get the heck outside...otherwise he'll have War and Peace written down...To get to the point...If anyone can share some bad reports with STE's (and preferablly give cause) Swirh would preciate. Like to know what works and doesn't... Peace all

Hey StillB...now Swirh has been accused of being vague in posting hehe...and sometimes...that is his nature (ummmm maybe it is the state of mind he gets into). The 60's that he was referring to at first were some high-priced Holy Grail cock of the walk (at least in reputation) Super-man PE...That is the type that the VE didn't fare well on...

Swirh is pretty sure (the ivory percentage--99 44/100 sure) that VE was technically correct...everything looked very normal and as expected...the only thing is perhaps one of the ingreds. may have limited this method... Would like to have an "Amen" hehe so to speak...

Yeah, Swirh's old buddy and friend like to have shit a brick when that big old 30ish % yield came back off the trial run with this Rockafeller bling-bling. He was not happy to say the least. But the run of the mill antihist do superbly. (Only with dry solvs...tho hehe).

You had mentioned the 120's too...what kind of problems did Swisb have with them?? And the 60's mentioned that performed better with alky extract only...were those the pricier ones or the common ones?? Swirh gave the ingred so he is assuming that that is the ones referred to... The 60's were the common ones, not the high priced ones. Swis has just a few minutes to type. Duty calls, have to go to work the midnight shift. Will get back to Swirh about the 120's. BTW, has Swirh read Jam's comments on the phosphoric acid post?

SWIM had a recent dream of trying the STE for the first time with some generic antihistamine 60's and came back with some ok looking white powdered pfed that ran worked gorgeously however the actual yield from the STE pull was PATHETIC. He felt that this was caused in reflection on his dream to be due to the fact that he followed directions and did not crush the pills and only about 1/2 of them seemed to have their thin coating penetrated by the solvents even with heat and agitation.

Man...Swirh has been having troub with Totse (what time he has lately)...only got one post then it acted up again... Just gives the white screen...Anyway...enough of that...

Frey...Swirh has had some troubs with the dull redhots not dissolving fully... just had to heat and mash like hell for them to fully dissolve. Most dissolve but some are very stubborn. As far as the whites generics...they work like a dream...long as you keep stirring as the nap gets hot. Anyhow...thanks for the feedback guys...Peace
