grind pills to fine dust--soak in 100% mineral turps for 12 hours--drain--add 3 times volume of dry toluene--heat to simmering 110c whilst stirring --keep at simmering for 8 mins--then drain off toluene--repeat toluene wash two more times--then allow to cool--one dry acetone wash --then an ab extraction--you now have clean eph

buy it from any hardware--mineral turpentine 100%--quite cheap--are you in australia--

oh i forgot--between the acetone wash and the ab extraction---you must extract the eph from the pill base--add 3 times the pill volume of methylated spirits 95%--mix thoroughly--then pour through filter--do this twice more--then evaporate off the metho--this will leave you only the eph--now do your ab extraction---if your reducing using the birch reduction--use hexane as the solvent in the ammonia--in aust its called shellite 100%--dont forget to dry it--and dont forget to dry your acetone, toluene and mineral turps

swIm has never seen 100% turps, only substitute. nor has swIm ever seen 100%shelite.

i see you listed the diggers company--they are the only company i buy my solvents from--most hardwares carry the turps and shellite---look for it---i have a little paint mixing company here in perth that has 400litre drums of mek in there yard--very easy to help yourself to one drum at 3am--im using the birch reduction over here

no mate it isnt---you must use the mineral turpentine100%--im surprised its not obvious--its in every hardware store in the solvents section---ok the toluene is fine--in aust--its better to extract in a/b with hexane--this is shellite100%--found on the same shelf as the mineral turps--friends have found the shellite is the better to use in the ammonia for the eph to kick into--yes toluene is a watched item--buy it in 1 and 4 litre containers from different hardware stores--some paint mixers have it for sale--carefull though--the hardware store people will fink on you---no the lacquer shit is useless--youll only need--mineral turps--toluene--acetone--denatured water--shellite--methylated spirits--all diggers sold--good luck my victorian friend--may the eagles truly kick your butt

ok i had the chance to go through those portals and have a look--the first one turpentine gum--no dont touch it--the mineral turpentine looks the one--i grabbed a bottle out of the cuboard--on the top is the caution --then diggers in yellow letters---then mineral turpentine in black letters--under that is contains:100%hydrocarbon liquid--that should be enough to lead you to it----also have a shellite bottle here---same caution---then diggers in large yellow lettering--shellite in black lettering--under that is contains 100% hydrocarbon liquid---- diggers also has (the yanks refer to it as red devil lye)we call it caustic soda---little white plastic canister with a red lid--its marked as diggers caustic soda---sodium hydroxide990g/kg--this has been found to work best for the a/b extraction---dont follow the yank items list as we either dont have it here--its named different( ie: there hexane is our shellite)diggers also has the methylated spirits you need --obvious title--but must get 95% or above--if in doubt --get a few ml--evaporate it on a glass sheet and look for any residual substance not evaporating--if there is any--dont use it whatever you do--metho must evap off leaving no residue---epsom salts to clean solvents---youll find this in most garden centres or hardware stores in the soil supplements section( im presuming you know how to prepare it and then use it)the glassware is a bit of a bugger--the whole cook can be done without lab glassware--but as time goes on its nice to acquire and makes life easier--a separatory funnel is real handy--be carefull--real carefull--glass is red flagged--the bottle used for the ammonia and sodium metal and ephedrine to go into--i get these from beer brewing shops--there a 4 litre glass bottle that come with a red stopper with hole in it--costs about 20dollars--these are the best seen so far--heat resistant--heavy walled glass--to gas i use sulphuric acid99%--bought from lab supply houses--use this as your in to the lab supply house--ill tell you how i did it--use whatever method is comfortable with you--but you must get these people to trust you--and run a mile if you feel they dont--if you have tats and earings--get rid of them or cover them--long hair--cant have it anymore--these are straight people and will report a long hair just because he is one--i put on work overalls--i got these from my job offshore---they have diving badges on the shoulders--company emblem on the back--work boots--walked in with a folder--introduced nmyself as the purchasing officer for the company i work for--asked for there catelogue--and picked up a 4 litre bottle of acid as well as some ph sticks--chatted up the receptionist--paid with cash out of an envelope marked petty cash ffice and lab sundries--asked for reciept and joked how if i didnt get one they go nuts--smiled at everyone--left with goodies and catelogue--went back about every two weeks--bought a bit of glass tubing--there spoons and stirrers--then a heater stirrer--then a few erlenmeyer flasks--buchner funnel--sep funnel--then gave an order for 2 4 litre heavy walled beakers and 2 250grm cans of sodium metal--they asked what its for--told them we had stainless steel work equipment coming in from offshore and we soak it in a bath and cleanse it--they use it in there--also told them im only the purchasing officer and dont really know what the lab boys get up to in the R and D department--if they question you--and you dont know the answer--dont make it up--these guys are chemical engineers--theyl peg you straight away--easier to be something like purchasing officer who can say he is a clerk and doesnt have a clue what they do down there in the lab--the other acid for the gassing--i use hydrocloric acid--comes from pool shop--must be above 34%acidcontent and is called hypochlorite solution--nothing else comes to mind--if it does ill write further--any questions please ask--eagles for the premiership!!!
