Default Comprehensive tips on powdreing/recrystalization

Swiss is a bit confused...down here we traditionally powder "the shit" by iether "crackin' it back", with acetone or gassing it, I use the former tequnique, with acetone. I was taught to evap until "glaciers" form or even until there is no more liquid movement, and to flash it with acetone and pan the tone back and forth until all the tone evaps, returning to heat if needed. Then you scrape the pan and there's your shit.

In the past 6 months to 1 year however, the market has been overran by what we call "ice". From what I've gathered in my short time and studys of "the craft" on a more, organized to say the least, level at chemhead; totse;(which are my favorites for whatever reasons)rhodium; the hive; etc.,etc......to other regions "ice" is nothing new, in fact it is the "status quo" "the norm", just a refinement or "recrystalization" of the method (or more correct method) I mentioned above.

I have read about the method I mentioned above on other forums, I know how to search, I'm not lazy, I've done a bit of research on the subject, and to be honest with you, I just trust my bros here(gotta, acid,lukky,pikk,wicked,tryp(R.I.P.?) to name a few) and thier collective experience, to point me in the right direction, and in a comprehensible way...Not that Swiss has a thick head, he just puts a lot of work into his honey and doesn't want to take any chances on fuckin' his shit off because he was a little confused about step #234 in some obscure process when he's got connections like you guys.

If anybody could please give me a critique of the method I'm using (above)...and a "comprehensive" recrystalization (ice?) method...please enlighten Swiss. He's tired of the potency of his shit SMOKIN' ice's potency, but not getting all the acclaim it deserves because it's not big clear shards of "ice", that everyone just has to have!

THANKS! Shooter...I'll have the fish and shrimp combo!

Hey SS...Gotta gave an excellent rundown on the ice method per Worlock... Within the last two pages...Swirh is somewhat rushed at this point and can't look for it...

Do know that it is a larger thread tho...

SWIL believes that those larger clear shards come from much larger batches. Also, a deeper vessel would probably be used, rather than wide, as this would allow for the crystals to grow the longest and largest.

Like SWIL said though, they are larger batches. With a small amount like a gram, SWIL thinks it would be very hard to make into big crystals. Maybe a test tube?

the art is time--as it usually is--i do mine in methanol--and allow methanol to cool slowly for 1 hour--then in the fridge for 3 then into freezer for 12--this for some reason allows large crystals to form over the shard crystal that will appear if the methanol goes straight into the freezer
