Default basic chemistry

hello to all, i have been reading on this site for quite a while now and have learned alot of valuable info. My problem is this. I am by no means stupid but have no training or education in basic chemistry. Would you suggest taking a class or more surfing to get a handle on the basics? I beleive I have read just about everything there is to read on rhodium, hive, and here but am just not familiar enough with the terminology and procedures discussed to start dreaming the dreams that I would like to dream. Just a side note, gottago, acidmelt, pikk, tryp and a few others, you guys are the shit, thanx much. treefrog or whatever, you are a dick

SWIA hadnt taken any classes when he got into it. it turned out after he had it all figured out he had to take some basic organic chem classes, but he was able to learn all that he needed to know from the web.

SWIM hasnt had any classes but had the advantage of hands on experience from a master of the game, the best education you can get is hands on for the cook aspect. the chem classes would be great for dealing with the ever changing pills and shit you gotta have and do to clean the shit i will admit. ~~when the student is ready the teacher will appear~~

Apprenticeships are, by far, the most valuable education one could ever hope to achieve in this field. Unfortunately there isn't a club to join where you can meet such a teacher. (now that would be kick ass, wouldn't it?)

I can't tell you what it would be like without chemistry classes as I had to take several, but Swigotta doesn't know chemistry from home economics and he actually does all the work.

So, I would have to say that as long as you can find good reliable information, you don't really NEED classes. It wouldn't hurt though.

Just give yourself a bit more time to learn the art, expect mistakes but don't be dicouraged or put off by them.

The amount of u-turns, comical errors & downright frustrating fuckups SwiM had made is almost beyond belief, but he says's a lot was learned from them & the mistakes were never repeated- he found new ones to make haha.

Anything worthwhile is never easy, just bear that in mind.
