Procaine was first synthesized by Albert Einhorn in Munich in an effort to produce a anesthetic which would replace cocaine and which had none of cocaine's addictive properties. He mistakenly believed the addictive properties could be attributed to Piperidine. He synthesised many cocaine related molecules without piperidine and the one showing most promise was, obviously, procaine.

So, i was wondering if there was a practical way to yeild cocaine from procaine. Try to add in:

-What degree of chemistry knowlege would be needed if any.

-If the procedure would be economically practacle in relation to the yeild.

-Why this might be just an all-around stupid idea
