Default Pfed evap Q.Gotta, you mentioned a whike back that.....

...SwiGotta had dreamed of some high temp pfed evaps. SwiM never bothered to ask at the time, since it wasn't really relevant then, but what is the highest temp for a pfed evap without yeild loss/pfed damage?

The reason for asking is that in SwiMs dreams he is going for larger extractions (method:FTC) meaning evaps will take longer.

Thanks for any replies.

Ta SwiP, is it really that simple? avoid BP & it'll be cool?

SwiM was concerned about burning his feedstock, & his hotplate is a bit of a relic- it has 3 settings, the first one leveling off at just under 90c, which is a bit hotter than SwiM would prefer but he guesses it'll have to do.

He says he's been running back & forth putting it on the heat, taking it off, putting it on, taking it off, etc, etc.

So a 90c heat until evap will be ok? Won't that burn the goodies?

man i just keep an eye on it when it gets thick i turn it down . use a fan when it is almost dry. or a hair dryer on low. you get the drift and i hate that 90c thingy. damn i need to learn the metric system.
