Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
i dont know if this will work, maybe i'll test it tomorrow...
1 part sulfuric acid reacted with 2 parts sodium chloride would theoretically produce 1 part sodium sulfate and 2 parts hydrogen chloride. masses of chemicals are measured by molar weight. its a simple double displacement reaction.
sulfuric acid - rooto drain cleaner - the one in the plastic bag
sodium chloride - un-iodized table salt

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
ok dude im not real familiar with your process or why you would want anhydrous soduim sulfate but what i am sure of is that 20-00 is fertilizer and contains basically nitrogen and sulfate which combined with some sodium hydroxide would make anyhydrous sodium sulfate =) hope that helps ya the sulfate will kill ya soo i heard =)

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
I dont need it for meth. I will be using it to remove water from metylene chloride when extracting caffeine from coffee. I will in the end of my shenanagins, be left with anhydrous caffeine. Doing this for experience. I may end up smoking it(the caffeine). Ill try to reduce it, or oxidize it, generally fuck with it for fun.

the sulfate will and can kill u just like any other chemical and if i were you i wouldn't mess with it....and yes im aware you can make anhydrous ammounia from 22-00 im also aware that you would have to clean it a shit load of times jus to get rid of that nasty ass fucking taste your dope will have =) but if your extracting shit from coffee man jus do it like i said =)

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
Jesus christ!! Fucking moronic motherfuckers!!
Sodium sulphate is washing soda, can be had in a grocery store in a tub of several kilos for a coupla bucks. It is very harmless, cheap and can be dried in the oven just like epsom salts. Epsom salts mgso4 work better for dehydrating things when anhydrous.
Where would the world bee without my shotgun!!

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
tryp man im jus going by what i was told i am not a chemist and never claim to have been i do everything the bathtub way =) but i remeber talkin shit to you awhile back my bad dude it sounds like you know what your talkin about and sht i guess i don't........i am to believe that the 2 liter does still make meth because i mean its common logic that it would....and if it don't plz explain...all i know is that everytime i had a dream of it being made that way it turned out to be fire...even better than annie str8 from the farm......i mean shit i know the gascan method works why wouldn't the 2liter produce annie i mean nh4 is ammonnuia fertilizer correct and if you added water and lye then it would produce the samething that the gascan would...and if u added li before the water then it would melt the strips when produced and then u add your pseduo i mean shit wouldn't it reduce the pseduo to pure ephedrone....and then turn to meth and when you add the sulfuric acid and salt and gas it then it would take off the hcl cause it would cancel out.. i mean thats only a theory i never tried to piss no one off on here i just never knew the chemistry way of doing anything....all i ever have done was read a few 12th grade chemisty books and i mean that ain't shit.......my next project is to dream about some hypo i was told that u could use bottle rocket engines and scrape em out instead of matchbooks....i mean see what i am told is bathtub shit dude and i don't know if it works cause i haven't tried it yet but i plan to dream it real soon.....Would you do me a small fav if you ever get the time would you message my sn soo we can talk....id appreciate any help or advice that you can give me........sorry for pissin everyone off on here im jus trying to help the curious minds jus like i am =) and 4real i am not lordmighty.....and that is not his method that is a biker method =)

the man just got thru callin us all moronic motherfuckers which wasnt what i had in mind for the first time tryp talked to me since i been here but hey its a start lol. now sutt if you think theres RP in rocket engines then just go buy one and check it out and let us know what you find or post exactly what type that one should look for at the hobby shop and you can bet some one will go buy one just to see. personally id rather see for myself than hear "a law of physics" or "this is why you should have chemistry classes" answer anyways. if there is RP in them you better buy some stock in there company cuz sales are goin thru the roof when word gets out.

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
Well WickedR I'll apologize 'cause I was mainly aiming that at the people that believed that sulphate is dangerous and that it would be easy to make sodium sulphate from salt and acid. (You can make it from salt and sulphuric but the purity will be poor) It is a very common byproduct, not difficult to get by any means.
And I think I did have a conversation with you before WickedR, I think it ended with me apologizing as well, do you remember?

naw tryp man i dont remember nothin like that. dont sweat it tho, ive done enuff moronic motherfuckin things before that i would have been glad to have someone tell me before hand. lol i frequent gearheads forum the most and remember a post from you in the thread called "yenko camaro" where you asked the guy why he didnt just put a 302 in his camaro.
so if you see me say or suggest something moronic then please tell me so, lol i dont have thin skin, as always your contributions and advice are appreciated man. watch out in gearheads tho bud i been racing and building chevys almost 30 years ive done monster trucks dragsters funny cars promods and a slew of awesome 4x4`s and street cars so over there im kinda like you are here hehehehe

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
It was in a thread over there where I was bitching about crooked mechanics and got a little general.
Have you ever come across a chevy 302?

Sorry to crash the thread guys...but hey Wicked...wasn't the 302 in a limited ed.. or sumptin?? Know a guy that has one that is fac. original in pristine shape... A real beaut...He told me bout winning some bets with people who argued that there was not such a thing.... Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
The 302 can be made by boring out certain(hard to find) 283 blocks to 4 inches or by using aftermarket parts, ie 4inch block 3 inch crank long rods and custom pistons.
It was one of the best SB's ever made, it could rev to the sky quickly and stay there happily all day. Oversquare bores are nice and a wicked rod ratio made it much better than the ford 302.

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
Sodium Sulphate?
What about Sodium Sulphite? Any ideas on obtaining this, Tryp? Uses and/or abuses?
SWIL was told to use this as a base(Geez's advice). It is supposedly a less powerful base than NaOH, which is effective in deterring the Orange Gakk by non-extreme pH changes. The orange beast tends to rear it's ugly head whenever the pH hits above 12. SWIL has had experience with this, and remembers that cold naptha also seemed to help keep it at bay.
Thoughts?

Re: anhydrous sodium sulfate?
Sodium sulphate incase you missed us mentioning it above, can be found at the grocery store as washing soda.
It is useless as far as I can think of, and is a salt not a base.
